Mary's word

'The Annunciation'

"Long ago and far away God sent an angel down To a girl named Mary In a tiny little town.  The angel brought this message--She was the chosen one, God was asking her to be The mother of His Son.

Refrain: Ave Maria! Hail Mary! Full of Grace The Lord is with thee. Mary said most humbly, How shall this come to be?  ' The power of the most high and the Spirit shall come to thee.'

And so on that day The whole human race held its breath to hear the answer of the Queen of Grace.

Refrain: 'Behold I am the handmaid of The Lord,' she answered,

''Be it done to me this day According to your word.  Her 'yes' brought us joy, Her 'fiat' gave us peace-- Now our years of waiting For the Savior Lord would cease. (Dominican Sisters of Mary Mother of the Eucharist)

I do appreciate your way of evangelization in this year of Faith. On the day of Lord, let us do those that foster our relation with him: mass, scripture reading

Studying in Jerusalem several years ago, I was very moved by the power the Sabbath has to reclaim and rejuvenate lives of believers, a time for complete rest.
