Third Week in Lent-March 20th, 222
Happy Sunday! How is Lent unfolding in you? We hear in the Gospel today about the gardener who gives a fig tree another year to grow to bear bounty. Any gardner will recognize the multiple conditions on crop growth. In today’s world some may be distanced from the life of farmers, which is unfortunate as it helps to provide perspective on fostering the word of God too. Bit by bit we foster the practice of prayer, cleanse our lives of what turns us from God, live for God and meeting him one day in Heaven. Naturally there are storms, various weather conditions, creatures unsettling the path, yet we trust Jesus Christ the good shepherd gardener. May the holy Trinity send us a bountiful harvest of vocations and intercede for Ukraine. Peace!
