Happy Sunday!
In the depth of the heat of summer we hear of how the good Samaratian offered assistance to one broken and beaten and left for dead on the roadway. Once we experience the transformation of grace’s effect we see any ordinary moment is anything but ordinary where Christ is present. Have we ever encountered a person unknown or ‘stranger’ and afterward realized it was one who assisted us?
As a field hospital the church is on the mission to heal and bind aches. Only after this immediate aid is given can the deeper effort at ongoing conversion can unfold. We pray for anyone living with fear or uncertainty that Christ knows exactly where you are and he will deliver each person into a better place. Each Eucharist brings glory, healing, forgiveness, mercy and hope! Be not afraid! Come, let us go to the house of our father to offer prayers of thanksgiving and petition. Keep hope and faith. He is near.
Peace!
