Solemnity of Corpus Christi-June 23, 2019

Happy Sunday!

Today the church observes the Solemnity of Corpus Christi.  What does this mean for you? for us?  Each time the Eucharist is celebrated a miracle happens as ordinary bread and wine are turned into the actual body and blood of Christ.  This Solemnity strengthens our faith or brings us closer to true intimacy with the divine will.  This Sunday consider reading about Eucharistic miracles that occurred at Santarem, Portugal or Lanciano, Italy.  Where there are doubts Christ has at times sent the physically visible signs of the true presence.  How does this change our direction?  Are we going the right way? Thank-you, Jesus for giving your life for us.  Lead us to your will and unity in the true presence.
