Reclaim Sunday Weekly Blog

Eighteenth Week in Ordinary Time-August 6th, 2017
Happy Sunday! As we hear about the transfiguration on Mt. Tabor this weekend thoughts of the effect of loving kindness prevail. How easily God could give up on his people filled with so many failings, and short comings. Even Moses the prophet sacrificed the tablets when he found the faithful worshiping idols instead of the living God! At mass the priest exhorted that our God can even turn tradegy into newness, something to turn for the glory of God! Contemplate the reality of our God who descends into our lost state to take us by the hand to accompany us. God delivered Israel out of bondage, Matthew out of money changing as a tax collector and those with no faith into believers! Lord of all mercy, we praise you as redeemer and all knowing. Draw us ever closer as our lives are transfigigured in the Eucharist, confession, marriage and the threshold of baptism. Blow upon us a spirit of servant leadership that after any witness others may see but our undying love for you and the good people God has created! Peace!
