Happy Sunday!
Occasionally sudden news arrives. In the Gospel we hear of finding of the pearl of great price. Pearls begin with an irritation in a mollusk which
produces nacre to cover the irritant making, in time, a pearl. The sudden word of the passing of a parishioner following mass spread. She had just served during the liturgy. Then God called. We know not the Hour or Day. Have we found
a pearl of great price? Have we left the old to follow the newness of the resurrection? When we pray for a happy death perhaps this servant teaches us to be found about serving God's word and people. The disciples were so drawn by Jesus they
moved forward to the luster of the nacre of faith in truth, in eternal life! Readers of www.reclaimsunday.net our time is short. Let us be on our way together, unemcumbered by the fear of death. Let
us thank God for this moment, this Sunday of new life! May we be found in the house of our enduring God of all hopefulness!
Peace!
