Corpus Christi-June 18, 2017
For the Love of God- Pour me out to love my enemies. Radiate in me the true unity found in sacrifice of living union. Never separated from the love of God, inheritance true! Where is this seen in our divisive world? Judgement, anger, hostility surround us, yet you have planted within us the love of our parents! Imperfect as we all are, a mother's love, and a father's enduring care expressed in their life-long marriage union taught the unfailing cup of blessing and eternal food without end! Violence cries out from hardened hearts and those who have not let happen in them the conversion of heart that allows one to see the other with the blessed assurance of the dignity bestowed on us from our baptism. We may question but the holy husband and wife who raised the Christ child teach us of the humility in the conformity of the heavenly king, Jesus Christ! When a woman's Hour arrives she is saddened for the brief labor carried in her body yet she does not despair. Her husband encourages her with truth, and a bond to the child about to be born! Soon the labor is small as they behold the face of God in their child! Holy God, Holy Mighty one, Holy immortal one, Have mercy on us! We praise you for the true presence in the Eucharist. Miracle of Santarem, shower us once again! Open us to your holy Providence offered at every Mass throughout the world. This Father's Day, give hearts of loving flesh to your priests. Grant a day of favor to all men who father children giving them the joy of service to their families. Corpus Christi, feed us into death! Peace!
