May 28, 2017-Seventh Sunday of Easter

Happy Sunday!

The Paschal candle continues to burn brightly.  Next weekend Pentecost Sunday will bring to a  close this season of resurrection.  How does the light of Christ give us a deeper truth?  How does he help us to see the fullness of any interior needs?  Going to confession and opening those needs places us with new insight.  During a visit to a car service business the mechanic was able to show a place needing further attention with camera technology similar with a medical device in attending to an area unseen by the eyes.  A good spiritual director can accompany us to explore areas within the interior life.  Confession opens all wrongs to begin the transformation of ongoing conversion.

Like the trained auto technician a priest keeps sacred the seal of the confession.  Easter is a time of rising in the light of our risen Lord.  Tuned upward, we pray this Sunday- Come Holy Spirit renew in me the fire of your love!  Let us give thanks for the gift of faith.

I do appreciate your way of evangelization in this year of Faith. On the day of Lord, let us do those that foster our relation with him: mass, scripture reading
