Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time-October 24, 2016

Happy Sunday!

As a reflection for this Sunday we implore the Holy Spirit to pour forth gifts to renew the face of the earth!  (Especially as we prepare for election day in the US!)

"In the same way, the Spirit too comes to the aid of our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes with inexpressible groanings.  And the one who searches hearts knows what is the intention of the Spirit, because it intercedes for the holy ones according to God's will."  (St. Paul to the Romans 8:26-27)

In times of weakness we are fulfilled by the Lord of all mercies.  Pray for the afflicted who are too tired, sick or disheartened to petition our good God.  For in the kindness of strangers, life has been restored for which you may never know.  Smile upon the world as God has shone upon you!

Will you share with someone today?  God bless you!
