Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time- July 3, 2016

Happy Sunday!

Are you baptized?  Do you understand that it is a new life in conformity to Christ's life?  How do evangelize?

People are celebrating the 4th of July this weekend.  The US is a country that preserves the freedom of religion.  For this we give thanks!  Yet, how are living our faith this Sunday?  It is a gift from God.  Each day we awaken we have a gift to open in our faith!  God never withdraws his love, his promise nor his generativity.

Alive and forgiven changes the mission every Christian is given: to proclaim the good news!  Standing in a very long line to confession is reaffirming that we are a body in faith thru the sacrament.  Whether it was for a long or short time we know the seal of the sacrament, leaves it there with Christ in the absolving priest who is, 'another Christ.' Thank you to every confessor, who on a 90 degree day sits for hours to get to the root of every weed of the soul.  Praying for your confessor was once recommended.  With the roots of sin purged we move ahead free to love as Christ loves us.  Keep close to your faith community.  If you are away from the church, return today.  We await you every day!  You are forgiven!  If you are questioning matters of belief, the church is the home of Christ's holy family who make room in the inn for every life.

God bless America, her citizens and for the freedom of worship!!  May all military and families teach us to 'keep the faith' in every circumstance.  Now let us live the faith in the fullness of the resurrection!

I do appreciate your way of evangelization in this year of Faith. On the day of Lord, let us do those that foster our relation with him: mass, scripture reading

Studying in Jerusalem several years ago, I was very moved by the power the Sabbath has to reclaim and rejuvenate lives of believers, a time for complete rest.
