Third Week of Advent--December 13, 2015

Happy Sunday!

Today the doors of mercy opened marking a Year of Mercy!  In Boston the Cathedral will be a pilgrimage church to cross into mercy.  How the message of mercy is needed.  It is water on the parched landscape yet a verdant green when accepted.  A confessor forgives sins but more so expresses a joy in the return of the son or daughter.  Are we , after forgiving another, glad to welcome them?  This year may we never tire of running out to welcome home the repentant brother or sister.  Know you are loved, forgiven and needed.  Make your way home for we have been waiting for you to return.  Fully return.  With one week of Advent remaining, the waiting does not get easier.  In trust we await the second coming of Christ who will be the completion of our every desire.  Be the mercy we have received this Sunday.  Live the happiness that we receive in the Eucharist.  Speak someone's name with mercy in your heart. Let the light of Sunday radiate from the depths of your soul.  Prepare the way of unending joy!  O come O come Emmanuel!

I do appreciate your way of evangelization in this year of Faith. On the day of Lord, let us do those that foster our relation with him: mass, scripture reading

Studying in Jerusalem several years ago, I was very moved by the power the Sabbath has to reclaim and rejuvenate lives of believers, a time for complete rest.
