Eigthenth Sunday in Ordinary Time-August 2,2015

Happy Sunday!

Summer carries a mystery of its own.  In a sunlit church the  homily focused on 'taking for granted' the people in our lives, the blessings in our lives and even the Eucharist.  Cardinal Van Thaun from Vietnam was held up as an inspiration, Imprisoned for thirteen years and nine in solitary confinement we ask has our passion for the faith grew dim?  Have we tended to the luster of our love of God?  When in doubt we may re-read the miracle accounts of the Salvation History including miracles of those for eventual inclusion in the cause of sainthood!!  Fear not!  Be not unbelieving, but believe! Peace!
