Twelfth Sunday in Ordinary Time--June21 2015

Happy Sunday!

Sunday is a time set apart for worship and restoration.  The gospel reading today from Mark 4 has Jesus asleep on a cushion while the disciples navigate the rough sea waters during a turbulent storm.  When have we last called upon The Lord?  Is there any doubt he is alongside us in the ark of life?  This Father's Day we see again Jesus commands the waters instantly and they fall still.  At his word.  Complete trust requires vulnerability which moves us to a new way of relating.  Eucharistic trust changes everything as any married couple will attest.  The emptying of all fear is at first unbridled, yet we learn He has been with us all along.  Turn to Christ.  Call his name and he will respond!  Blessings upon all men committing to fatherhood for their witness to fidelity in God's way, truth and life.

I do appreciate your way of evangelization in this year of Faith. On the day of Lord, let us do those that foster our relation with him: mass, scripture reading

Studying in Jerusalem several years ago, I was very moved by the power the Sabbath has to reclaim and rejuvenate lives of believers, a time for complete rest.
