Reclaim Sunday Weekly Blog

February 15, 2015-Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Happy Sunday!

This Sunday we are making preparations  for the start of Lent this Ash Wednesday and for a pilgrimage to the Holy Land!  Pope Francis preached on the " Gospel of the Marginalized" providing prayer as to ask to which margins do we carry the gospel joy?  How does the healing of the sacramental life generate in us a desire to go beyond the walls and bring the light of truth of unity in Christ?  In faith we are reinstated thru baptism.  Enjoy this read:

Interesting this week was the review of an Israeli tour book listing a few key words in Hebrew.  The words are of polite measure.  What may that teach us about bridging cultures with Speech? To speak words of manner conveys unity.  So enjoy!

in Hebrew:

Hello-  Shalom

Thank you- Toda Raba

Please- Behvakasha

You're Welcome- Allo davaar

Yes- Ken

No- Lo

Excuse me- S'Leeha

Good Morning- Boker Tov

Good Evening- Erev Tov

I do appreciate your way of evangelization in this year of Faith. On the day of Lord, let us do those that foster our relation with him: mass, scripture reading

Studying in Jerusalem several years ago, I was very moved by the power the Sabbath has to reclaim and rejuvenate lives of believers, a time for complete rest.
