December 14th, 2014-Third Sunday of Advent

Happy Sunday!

"I wish every day could be Christmas!" exclaimed a senior.  The evidence of charity does spark a longing for a more loving world.  The reading from Isaiah brings to mind the nuptial image.  Isaiah 61-

"I rejoice heartily in The Lord, in my God is the joy of my soul; for he has clothed me with a robe of salvation and wrapped me in a mantle of justice, like a bride- groom adorned with a diadem, like a bride bedecked with her jewels.  How Joseph modeled the holiness of a man in love, trusting in God's plan.  A man of few words we see in his example a tenderness for Mary.  In this Advent waiting may we look to St. Joseph on the true character of a man who protects his beloved and the child within. offers prayers for each visitor in this expectant season!
