October 5th, 2014-Twenty-Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time

Happy Sunday!

Welcome!  We thank God for your visit to especially if this is your maiden trip!  We are trying, thru grace, entering into the Lord's Day with time for worship, friends, family and rest.  No matter where you are on your faith journey Sunday is set apart to strengthen our path toward Heaven.  Today's prayer after communion leads us to injest the fullness of the truth:

"Grant us, almighty God that we may be refreshed and nourished by the Sacrament which we have received, so as to be transformed into what we consume."

How are we growing as Eucharistic believers?

The world may lead us on a different path, yet some openly cast light on virtue and character.  One such business has the following on their catalogue:

" We are pleased to note for the record how pleasant it is to work with capable and committed people and to serve customers who are intelligent, civil and forgiving."

After reading it it bears a retread.  A small company acknowledging FORGIVING as a quality to uphold in print!!  We do not forget those who forgive us, especially in the sacrament.  How will this Sunday bear the fruit of forgiveness?  Have a beautiful Sunday!

Studying in Jerusalem several years ago, I was very moved by the power the Sabbath has to reclaim and rejuvenate lives of believers, a time for complete rest.
