Reclaim Sunday Weekly Blog

May 18th, 2014-Fifth Sunday of Easter

Happy Sunday!

What has ever prompted you to change plans or look at Sunday anew?  This past week a Holy Hour was held at St. Paul's near Harvard University to collectively respond to another event which most of the readers had read about.  This Sunday is one of outpouring GRATITUDE for the catholic community.  People have also communicated the Holy Hours that were held simultaneously at their church, shrine and seminary. The church in the square was filled with people kneeling in the aisles...all occurring during finals weeks.  A UNITY in Christ prevailed. A witness to faith is noticed!  A drum sounds to the gift of religious freedom that some in other parts of the world pray for nightly.  The faith was not the minority, but a unified reality Forging us into a shield of mercy.

He is risen!  He is truly risen!

How may this Sunday change everything?

I do appreciate your way of evangelization in this year of Faith. On the day of Lord, let us do those that foster our relation with him: mass, scripture reading

Studying in Jerusalem several years ago, I was very moved by the power the Sabbath has to reclaim and rejuvenate lives of believers, a time for complete rest.

Sunday is the day of the Lord. Let us come to Him as a family specially on this day to celebrate him and share the joy with others present in the church

Sunday is the most precious day of the week, time for reflection, Mass, family, and often religious studies, reflection, writing and ministry.
