March 2nd, 2014-Eighth Sunday in Ordinay Time

Happy Sunday!

Have you see then the banner hanging outside at the front of the church?  This question was raised about a parish catechesis planned twice a week during the weeks of Lent.  As parking was on the back side the new banner had not crossed the line of vision for some.  So, we moved to see the public invitation to 'Come and Listen,' during the catechesis.  There was the banner stretched the entire width of the doorway for all passer-bys to consider!  God wants a meeting with you!  So, we prepare for Lent and the turning from anything that keeps us near God.  We turn toward God in the 40 days of fasting, prayer and alms giving.  How will we move differently and change the vista to see more clearly and be opened to the wonder of God?  Take a second look during Lent, his love's has always been there!

I do appreciate your way of evangelization in this year of Faith. On the day of Lord, let us do those that foster our relation with him: mass, scripture reading

Studying in Jerusalem several years ago, I was very moved by the power the Sabbath has to reclaim and rejuvenate lives of believers, a time for complete rest.
