December 15th, 2013-Third Week of Advent

Happy Sunday!

With over 12,000 visitors now to how is Reclaiming Sunday for you this the third week of Advent?  We still await the Christmas season...adopting a posture of expectant patience.

The priest asked: "Like John the Baptist, how are you imprisoned?"  Do not lose hope!

Even when imprisoned Jesus comes to seek us out with the Good News we hear in today's Gospel from Matthew 11:

"Go and tell John what you hear and see: the blind regain their sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised and the poor have the good news proclaimed to them."

Those headlines are worth rereading!

Patience, people as the hymn reminds us.  This 'Rejoice Sunday,' as the third candle is lit we understand that something of a new order is unfolding...
