Happy Sunday!
We are in the time of preparation in anticpation of the Christmas season! In the neighborhood it has come as a hope filled sight to see more and more homes placing the light of Christ on display for all passer-bys to enjoy
and brighten their day! From a single candle in the window to the evergreen boughs on the porches the footsteps of hope slowly build this Advent Season. It is a witness to hope that Christ resides in each person and is extended outward
this season! This past week Cardinal Wuerl of Washington posted on his blog about 'reclaiming the season.' It may be found on: http://cardinalsblog.adw.org/ In the more humble days of Advent we
wait in anticipation and hear anew the voice of John the Baptist, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!" (Matt 3: 1-12) As we join to reclaim Sunday, we also consider how our Advent may also be reclaimed as the fruit of Sunday pours into the
week ahead which includes: Immaculate Conception-Monday, December 9th, Our Lady of Guadalupe-Thursday, December 12th, St. Lucy and St. John of the Cross-December 13th and 14th respectively! In the Advent wreath we light the second candle...Lord prepare
us to receive your holy will in our lives. God bless!
Peace!
