Reclaim Sunday Weekly Blog

September 1st, 2013-Twenty Second Sunday in Ordinary Tim...

Happy Sunday!

This post is written on the eve of Sunday the weekend of Labor Day.  May restoration fill your days especially on Sunday!  While walking outside from Mass two parishioners added their experiences of 'Sunday Attire,' after having offered a comment on their holy attire.  They shared how at one time people wore their 'Sunday Best' to Church, dressing up even when taking the afternoon Sunday 'walk' following Sunday 'dinner.'

As we expand the message of Reclaiming Sunday this is an invitation to think about how we may reasonably prepare for our date with God on Sunday or even throughout the week how we are clothed in the good works of our faith.

"Give to the Lord, you sons of God, give to the Lord glory and praise,

Give to the Lord the glory due his name; adore the Lord in holy attire."  Psalm 29: 1-2.

I do appreciate your way of evangelization in this year of Faith. On the day of Lord, let us do those that foster our relation with him: mass, scripture reading

Studying in Jerusalem several years ago, I was very moved by the power the Sabbath has to reclaim and rejuvenate lives of believers, a time for complete rest.

Sunday is the day of the Lord. Let us come to Him as a family specially on this day to celebrate him and share the joy with others present in the church
