Happy Sunday!
The Gospel of Luke 12:32-48 this week reads: "Blessed is that servant whom his master on arrival finds him doing so." So many serve in unassuming ways. While
visiting the Lourdes Center in Boston the visitor found a humble chapel with a disciple kneeing before a statue of Mary praying and a hospitality person welcoming and asking if the purpose was to pick up Lourdes water. The mural behind the altar depicted
a humble young Bernadette kneeling before the Immaculate Mary in a heavenward position. Should our Lord do as much to enter our hearts on a sweltering summer day to find us about praying, cleaning and welcoming others! Years later this center distributes
actual Lourdes water simply for asking with a minor S&H fee. Bernadette was a poor girl from a working faith filled family. She was ridiculed for speaking out on her encounter with the 'Immaculate Conception.' How is our faith? Do
we follow Christ even if we stand alone digging in the dirt for a spring like Bernadette? Now people report cures from the Lourdes water. As the brochure states: "Lourdes Water is not Holy Water, nor is it a medicine or something supernatural,
but Our Lady has granted special favors with its use. It is an object of faith meant to encourage our prayers and good works." Abraham and Sarah believed, Noah believed, st. Monica believed. If you have a need for the Lourdes Water ask. Www.lourdescenter.org. Believe in the power of prayer!
At www.reclaimsunday.net over 100,000+ visitors have come to the door.
May we continue to share the site. Also may we pray for our Holy Father's intentions and for world peace.
Peace!
