Happy Sunday!
This Trinity Sunday we consider the love of God poured out in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit! It has been a time of fulfillment in graduations, ordinations,
confirmations and weddings! God is renewing the face of the earth! At the confirmation the celebrant reminded the confirmands that they were about to receive the same spirit that freed the disciples from the locked upper room to go to the ends
of the Earth with the Gospel truth! When have we last considered the effects of the sacraments? An interesting exchange occurred in dialog using about hands. A priest's hands are anointed with chrism to celebrate the sacraments. The
laity move hands to serve the corporeal works of mercy: feeding the hungry, clothing the bare, giving water to those who thist, welcoming the stranger, tending to the imprisoned and burying the dead. This Sunday, pray a few minutes on the gifts of your
hands to bring the love of God to to the world. Let us pray for those who are away from the church that we may be at the door waving to greet them home.
Peace!
