Happy Sunday!
Having returned from a Holy Land Pilgrimage we may ask how does Sunday inform and shape our identity? On pilgrimage there was an experience of unity in mission, watchfulness of one another, care at all hours and looking forward
to seeing others along the way and upon return. This has provided a reflection, somewhat unexpected on the role of community and our understanding of worship together. In a time of individualism the fabric of unity may be strained. Recent headlines of persecution
of Christians presses us to consider our relations to one another. Who is my brother and sister? The Holy Spirit moves us to a new way of unifying and bonding in Christ who appeals to God the Father. We are made for communion. Where there is hatred let
us sow love. We are on the road to heaven. In this every day changes us thanks be to God for the Paschal Mystery. We pray for your intentions this Sunday. May they know us by our unity and love.
Peace!
