July 20th, 2014-Sixteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Happy Sunday!

There he sat waiting...light lit above the confessional 'on'...After a week of news of global unrest, seemingly drawing us to thirst for peace, a drop of water on the lips to moisten them to speak words of contrition, then of hope to others.  In recent weeks friends have considered the first three commandments:  Worship The Lord alone, Do not use the Lord's name in vain and the third, Keep Sunday holy.  How are the commandments a light on the path to freedom?  God, our father has our happiness as a constant.  He sent his son to save us.  In the confessional, worldwide, Christ awaits, thru the priest to absolve.  Where were you yesterday?  At the beach?  Traveling? At work?  Were you able to prepare for Sunday?  There he sat, in the confessional awaiting with a holy patience as if it was the most important place to be.  Confession gives us union restored.

For a clear homily instructing on Sunday for personal reference listen to EWTN daily mass on July 17, 2014.

May we join together this day in prayers for peace to reign across the globe.

I do appreciate your way of evangelization in this year of Faith. On the day of Lord, let us do those that foster our relation with him: mass, scripture reading

Studying in Jerusalem several years ago, I was very moved by the power the Sabbath has to reclaim and rejuvenate lives of believers, a time for complete rest.
