Happy Sunday!
It is fitting to praise God for the gifts he bestows on us each day, yet especially on Sundays! How may our lives be lived out having consumed the body and blood of Christ? It changes us, from within, on the inside.
He is able to reach the crevices of our marrow. Love does that, strengthening us in ways unimaginable by human standard. We look back with a retrospective gaze to ask, how did we pass through this or that challenge? The grace of God
made it possible who makes the first move in life. Then we are prepared to move. This can be a leap of faith.
This week in a bustling city there was a tender time that was a picture of trust. The trolley had disembarked and a toddler
no more than two and one half approached the moving escalator to rise to the street level, accompanied as it were with his young mother. She was gently holding his hand. We were all moving toward the escalator. No big moment, except
this was his first visit to a city and to the experience of 'moving stairs!' The mother communicated non-verbally as he sized up the emerging stairs before his very tiny feet! Oh the timing of it all! He took one brief look into her eyes,
eyed the stairs again and on the stairs they made it! The mother's wedding band hand gave the even tinyier hand a squeeze. The face of a joyful mother's love faced an even happier toddler!
God shows us such a loving countenance. He
gives us his body and blood as life is united to his. His gaze upon us is unending. He always has our hand.
This week may you also check the tabs 'Prayers Continued' and 'Into the Silence.' When life sends a move, trial
or growth opportunity, remember he has loved us first!
Peace!
